The Regional Sales Vice President Position

 

The Sales Organization at Qlik is the primary connection to our customers, prospects, and partners focusing on driving revenue in new accounts and expanding our presence in the territory's existing customer base. The teams work geographically or are industry focused.

 

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

  • Provide leadership and strategy to drive all top-line revenue and growth targets in the eastern US
  • Hire, direct and manage Regional Territory Directors and their sales teams
  • Lead and coach Regional Territory Directors in developing prospects, qualifying opportunities, and closing sales with the Qlik team
  • Manage the use of Salesforce.com to provide visibility into field activity and revenue forecasts
  • Provide input to the corporate management team on product strategies, budgeting, incentive plans
  • Manage the professional development of the sales team, ensuring new business growth targets and profit objectives are achieved
  • Ensure that a robust pipeline is built and managed throughout the region
  • Creating a cohesive, cross-functional team, including corporate marketing, field marketing, pre and post sales consultants and sales teams to drive the pipeline necessary to exceed corporate revenue objectives
  • Extensive traveling is required

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • Proven leadership experience.  We are looking for more than a senior sales manager, but a leader who can help build our business and prepare our sales team for the future of Qlik.
  • Experience selling to large and mid-size companies within the business intelligence software or enterprise software industry
  • Proven track record of meeting company sales objectives
  • Superior interpersonal, listening, organizational and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing expertise
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and proven ability to communicate goals and execute sales strategies necessary
  • Comfortable working in complex business environments, which include obtaining buy-in from senior decision makers
  • Demonstrated ability to bring deals to closure and assist account executives as needed
  • Commercial awareness of sales related contracts

 

 

You will thrive if you have:

 

  • 10+ years of successful sales experience and at least five years of senior level management experience managing an extensive outside sales team
  • Flexibility, agility and change management skills
  • Strong negotiation competence
  • An outgoing, focused and organized persona with a strong will to succeed
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus

 

The location for this role is:

 

Remote or Hybrid ideal locations include NYC, Philadelphia, or Atlanta – but must be located in Eastern US.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $246,000 USD per year. This position is eligible for a commission within a range of $200,000 - $246,000 USD subject to meeting targets set forth in a sales compensation plan. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
